Mr. Scheuer has over twenty-five years of experience
in the real estate and construction industry. He has developed several
award-winning residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects. He
founded Retrovest in 1978 and is responsible for providing the necessary
leadership and expertise which has resulted in Retrovest's strong
reputation and success.
Mr. Scheuer attended the University of Colorado,
majoring in U.S. History, where he was an All-American Skier. He
was a member of the U.S. Alpine Ski Team (1970-75). Mr. Scheuer
did graduate work at the University of Vermont (Resource and Land
Economics).
He is a former Vice President of the Home Builders'
Association of Northern Vermont; former National Director of the
National Association of Home Builders; former Board Director and
Vice-Chair of the Building Committee of the Flynn Theatre for the
Performing Arts; former Board Member and Chair of the Public Affairs
Committee of the Preservation Trust of Vermont; former Vice President
of Preservation Action, Inc., Washington, D.C.; a Board Member of
the Fund for Vermont's Third Century. He is currently an active
member of both the Urban Land Institute, and was a founding member of The Congress for the New
Urbanism.
In 1990 Mr. Scheuer was inducted into Lambda
Alpha, the National Land Economics Society.
