An infill townhouse project adjacent to the village
core of Williston, Vermont.
This residential community was developed using the
concepts of neo-traditional planning, creating a traditional sense
of place by orienting the homes around two large village-scale greens.
A strong pedestrian linkage to the village and environmentally appropriate
design were stressed throughout the marketing of this project.
Given its environmentally responsible design, The
Commons was chosen as a demonstration project by the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency. The project has won several awards including
a Gold Metal Award from the National Association of Home Builders.
